Broad Functions and Purpose of Position:
A senior managerial role that focuses on overseeing the business operations growth strategies and profitability of the Automotive Aftermarket and Distribution Business.
National Business Manager Automotive Aftermarket & Distribution will be responsible for driving the overall strategy growth and performance. This includes managing the P&L leading business development efforts and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions. The role demands strong leadership strategic thinking and an in-depth understanding of the automotive aftermarket and industrial B2C business including sales product development and customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the business strategy for the Automotive Aftermarket & Distribution business in alignment with defined key initiatives
- Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition partnerships and market expansion.
- Identify industry trends opportunities and competitive threats to gain market leadership.
Profitability & Financial Management:
- Oversee the divisions P&L ensuring financial targets are met.
- Ensure accurate financial forecasting budgeting and reporting.
Sales & Marketing Management:
- Lead sales and marketing initiatives to drive product adoption increase market share and enhance brand visibility.
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies tailored to various customer segments
- Foster strong relationships with senior management of customers and other key stakeholders.
Product Development & Innovation:
- Collaborate with technical departments and R&D to innovate and introduce new products or services in line with market demands.
- Drive product lifecycle management from concept to launch ensuring that the portfolio remains competitive.
Operational Excellence:
- Align with Operations team to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing team fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability.
- Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to direct reports and key team members.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales marketing R&D operations) to achieve business goals.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with key external stakeholders including suppliers partners government bodies and industry associations.
- Present business performance and growth plans to executive leadership.
- Represent the company at industry events conferences and forums.
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
Education:
- Masters/bachelors degree in engineering Business or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket and/or B2C industrial sales with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role. Experience in Automotive OE spares business will be given preference.
- Proven track record in business development sales and strategic planning within the automotive aftermarket and/or B2C industrial sector.
- Experience in managing teams and driving organizational change.
Skills:
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of automotive market trends and consumer behaviour.
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
