Job Summary

Role impact:

To deliver a consistent and outstanding level of customer service to clients by actively seeking out opportunities to provide assistance and support. To ensure that property rules and standards are observed by maintaining a highly visible and reassuring presence through their assigned patrol and post duties. To act as a deterrent to crime and undesired activity and help to maintain a visibly safe and welcoming property environment. The successful candidate must be able to work shifts including weekends nights and evenings.

What you will deliver:

  • To patrol the Toronto Dominion Centre complex
  • To identify and deal with security exposures violations hazards and suspicious activities and report same
  • To maintain control of contractors construction service workers on site records issue keys and administer passcards and passcard system
  • To provide an active and preventative security presence in all common areas of the Concourse Retail Mall and property complex
  • To ensure public safety and a problem free environment
  • To protect tenant employees property and information through enforcement of access control
  • To provide access control to the Shipping and Receiving areas of the Toronto Dominion Centre.
  • Desk Patrol Shipping and ACC coverage and assist with signing in vehicles at Shipping & Receiving
  • Conduct access control duties
  • Conduct fire watches and other area checks
  • Conduct inspections with provided equipment throughout the complex as required
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Diploma in Security preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
  • Acquire and maintain a valid Security Guard licence and comply with PSISA and its regulations as amended from time to time
  • Minimum one (1) year general security experience and acceptable familiarity with the TDC Complex
  • Successful completion of annual Use of Force and CF compliance training
  • Complete CF Serve and Secure program and recertification annually
  • Solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Maintain safe working practices and demonstrate same to co- workers
  • Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Detailed notebook taking and report writing ability
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods some lifting up to 20 pounds
