Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Finance Manager Legal Entity Accounting Operations to support our GS Finance team in Prague Czech Republic.

Senior Manager-Legal Entity Accounting Operations

Location: Prague Czech Republic

Contract: Full-time permanent

The Position of LE Accounting Operations Senior Manager will lead a team of 5 direct reports at manager level for LEA operations excluding the external audit coordination and a broader team around 50 people.

Main expectations will be :

  • Making sure EMEA statutory financial statements are prepared and filed accurately and timely and the existing backlog is cleared within the year of hire.
  • Partnering and collaborating with key internal stakeholders on several enterprise and specific GS Finance projects including the deployment of new statutory ledger
  • Partnering with our 3rd party stakeholders to guide them and collaborate with them in achieving our set objectives on preparation of our financial statements
  • Creating and retaining a high performing team

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

  • Full responsibility for the preparation of Statutory Financial statements by the LEA team and/ or 3rd party provider of companies in EMEA scope.

  • Monitor and analyze department work and related processes to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

  • Key point of contact within the group on all technical statutory accounting queries

  • Ensure that all necessary closing requirements are met efficiently cooperating with other A2R functional leaders

  • Coordinate with J&J corporate tax centers regarding the preparation of corporate tax returns for companies in scope.

  • Cooperate with all finance functions including Business Finance in making sure local audits are supported by all functions

  • Provide detailed specific guidance and support on complex business issues and financial system issues so that overall control is maintained

  • Recruiting developing and retaining high potential talents

  • Shaping a high-performance team culture across the organization

  • Continuously measuring team performance and accountability through regular reviews

We would love to hear from YOU if you have:

  • Fully qualified accountantor an internationalqualified accountant equivalent or an accounting/ economics graduatewith at least10 years post qualified financial experience

  • Fluent in Englishother European languages highly preferred

  • Previous job experience in financial audit / accounting is preferred

  • Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Lead by example through uncertainty and scale

  • Strategic thinking skills to take the EMEA LEA organization to next level

  • Proven business partnering skills with external and internal stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel (10%) to local markets
