Carpenter I (Part Time Casual) HARGROVE

Position Overview

The Carpenter I under the supervision of the Fabrication Department manager and foremen is responsible for performing basic carpentry work on custom exhibits cabinetry and scenery using industrial woodworking machinery and materials according to specifications and drawings provided by the Manager - Fabrication and the project team. This position reports to the Manager Fabrication.

Key Job ResponsibilitiesÂ

Fabrication

â Assist in the construction and assembly of carpentry projects into quality exhibits and displays using shop drawings and verbal instructions.

â Operate a variety of woodworking machinery including sliding table saw compound miter saw band saw jointer planer as well as various hand tools.

â Verify all calculations to ensure alignment of all components.

â Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

â Other duties assigned.

â Follow all applicable OSHA and corporate safety protocols and regulations.

â Maintain a safe working environment by maintaining a clean organized workspace.

Job Qualifications

â High School Diploma or GED required

â 1-3 years of experience in basic carpentry

â Demonstrate a working knowledge of current production standard operating procedures safety protocols materials and installation methods.Â

â Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and through computers apps and relevant software.

â Experience at working in a collaborative team environment.

Fabrication

Work is performed in a shop environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Fabrication Department work will be completed in a temperature-controlled environment with exposure to dirt sand dust and chemicals. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days evenings weekends and holidays.ÂÂ
