In Kansas City Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security state-of-the-art engineering manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the FM&Ts culture of integrity commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive collaborative and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Summary

Leads routine program management functions on assigned multiple projects or sub-projects of moderate complexity. Completes with limited oversight assignments in support of one or more weapon product/service or reimbursable program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates determines and drives program management activities to manage one or more moderately complex program or portfolio
  • Provides knowledgeable input to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues
  • Applies program management and financial standard to the development of cost and schedule framework for projects and program elements
  • Provides assistance in the financial planning monitoring scheduling preparation and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning
  • May assists in establishment and oversight of production/project definitions maintenance of schedules and engineering releases associated with weapon or reimbursable programs
  • Performs some technical administrative and logistical liaison roles with company design agencies laboratories integrated contractors for a program or portfolio
  • Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with other internal business units and external customers
  • Guides and mentors lower-level Associate Program Managers

You Must Have

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 2 years of relevant experience in engineering business or program management
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain if required for position a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

  • Ability to provide project management guidance consultative services and innovative solutions
  • Working knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting
  • Effective communication interactive and presentation skills
  • Established knowledge of customers products technologies processes and PMI certification preferred
