Job Summary
Were looking for a driven R&D Project Engineer to help develop next generation building materials and structural systems that improve strength affordability and construction speed. This role sits at the intersection of structural engineering and material science turning hands-on research into real-world construction solutions.
Job Description:
- Develop and test innovative cement-based composites and non-steel reinforcement systems
- Drive experimental research and laboratory testing for structural performance
- Support rapid-build foundation and slab technologies
- Collaborate with design and production teams to scale lab-proven solutions
- Assist with technical documentation for structural certification and compliance
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 13 years experience in construction innovation or applied research
- Strong hands-on laboratory and materials testing experience
- Exposure to composite materials and advanced building technologies
- FEM numerical modelling or Revit experience is advantageous
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
