Role description:
We are looking for an industry professional with extensive experience in the planning design and delivery of Ports and Maritime infrastructure to lead and grow our Ports and Maritime business nationally building on Arcadis recent success in this sector. Responsible for growth and leadership of our ports and maritime team this role will provide both business development and technical leadership engaging with clients to pursue and win projects and deliver them successfully. The successful candidate will have an established industry reputation and relationships which they can leverage to grow and develop Arcadiss capability in Australia leveraging our strong overseas capabilities.
Role accountabilities:
  • Provide leadership in the Ports and Maritime Sector to grow and develop this team in Australia;
  • Lead client engagement and leverage established relationships to optimise opportunities for Arcadis;
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of ports and maritime opportunities ;
  • Provide technical leadership of Ports and Maritime projects with appropriate project delivery support;
  • Develop the technical capabilities of our team expanding our services and client offering;
  • Lead the pursuit of key opportunities including undertaking client meetings to develop a pursuit strategy;
  • Develop successful bid strategies for key opportunities;
  • Develop client relationships and opportunities whilst optimising commercial outcomes;
  • Champion a client focused and entrepreneurial culture to the broader team; and
Qualification & Experience:

We are seeking somebody with a strong fit to our leadership success profile to build and drive our culture of inclusion accountability human centricity and sustainability. You will possess strong learning agility combined with a balanced mix of being curious driving success and igniting passion.

You are a seasoned professional thriving in a high pressured fast paced environment with strong industry ties and have demonstrated credibility in a consulting environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant 15+ years experience in the planning design and engineering and delivery of Ports and Maritime Infrastructure
  • Established industry network and relationships with clients in both the Government and Private sectors;
  • A growth mindset and be passionate about developing and growing a team and work in this sector;
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for leading and growing a team;
  • Demonstrated experience of client engagement and pursuing and winning work;
  • A good level of commercial understanding of project delivery;
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with both internal and external stakeholders together with strong presentation skills;
  • Able to prioritize and meet demands handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously set and meet deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.
