Equipment Maintenance Technician
Overview
Our clients test and production teams depend on a mix of custom and commercial equipmentfrom high-vacuum chambers and thermal systems to CNC machines and automated test stands. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician youll keep critical systems running safely reliably and with minimal downtime. Youll troubleshoot breakdowns execute preventive maintenance and help implement improvements that increase uptime and performancedirectly supporting the pace and quality of spacecraft hardware builds and testing.
What Youll Do
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform inspections lubrication calibration and performance checks on production and test equipment
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic and vacuum-related issues to restore operations quickly
- Work Orders & Documentation: Track tasks log repair history and manage spares/consumables in a CMMS (or similar system)
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with engineers test operators and facilities to understand equipment usage and prevent recurring failures
- Reliability Improvements: Identify failure patterns and support upgrades rebuilds redesigns and root-cause fixes
- Safety & Compliance: Follow LOTO PPE and equipment safety proceduresevery time
What Were Looking For (Required)
- 3 years in equipment maintenance industrial service or mechanical repair (manufacturing R&D aerospace or similar)
- Comfortable supporting diverse equipment including: pumps valves motors sensors PLCs HMIs hydraulics pneumatics
- Ability to read mechanical drawings wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- Skilled with hand tools diagnostic instruments and electrical test equipment
- Calm organized and responsive during downtime events
- Strong communication and documentation habits
Nice to Have
- Experience with high-vacuum and/or thermal systems
- Working knowledge of CMMS tools (e.g. UpKeep Fiix or similar)
- Basic familiarity with controls/PLC systems or Python-based automation
- Aerospace or advanced manufacturing background
