Job Summary

Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager of Advanced Procurement for Asia is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading new product development initiatives within the business sector. This position requires a dynamic leader capable of driving the rapid expansion projects through advanced procurement techniques ensuring timely delivery and quality alignment with business objectives. The candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing procurement efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the procurement team in launching new projects ensuring on-time on-cost and on-quality deliveries by interfacing effectively with Business Units and Suppliers.
  • Supplier Management: Guide the team in executing company-directed supplier selection and cost management strategies leveraging preferred suppliers to ensure timely project launches.
  • Innovation and Problem Solving: Facilitate early supplier involvement in new product developments addressing technical and business challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure supplier compliance with drawing requirements and delivery timelines adhering to the companys purchasing procedures while identifying and mitigating new product risks.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work in collaboration with Global Sourcing to ensure compliance with commodity-specific strategies addressing business needs efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commodity management particularly with mechanical components and rapid prototyping.
  • Strong technical understanding of motors commodities and components along with awareness of market trends and supplier capabilities in the motor business.
  • Expertise in new product/component sourcing and project management with a track record of establishing robust internal and external partnerships.
  • Demonstrable passion for growth curiosity and proactivity. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills continuously seeking improvements in task execution.
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools like SupplyOn.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
