As aSenior Research Analyst covering the Technology sector you will play a key role within Jarislowsky Frasers Global Equity investment team. Reporting to the Head of Equities you will lead in-depth fundamental research develop forward-looking insights and provide actionable investment recommendations to portfolio managers. This is a high-impact role where your judgment analytical expertise and intellectual curiosity will directly influence portfolio construction and performance outcomes.

Is this role right for you In this role you will:

  • Lead comprehensive coverage of assigned sectors or companies developing detailed financial models forecasts and valuation frameworks.
  • Generate independent investment ideas providing high-conviction recommendations supported by rigorous analysis.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to integrate research insights into the investment process and contribute to portfolio strategy discussions.
  • Maintain active engagement with company management teams industry participants and sell-side analysts to gather qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities in the context of Jarislowsky Frasers disciplined long-term investment philosophy.
  • Contribute to continual improvement of research processes data management and analytical tools.
  • Mentor junior analysts and associates fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the research team.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to internal policies regulatory standards and risk management practices.

Education Professional Experience Certifications and Skills required:

  • 510 years of relevant experience in buy-side sell-side equity research or investment banking.
  • A university degree in finance economics accounting or a related field; an MBA or CFA designation (or progress toward one) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing original investment theses and conducting fundamental bottom-up analysis.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements industry dynamics and valuation methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present investment ideas persuasively.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel Bloomberg Capital IQ or FactSet.
  • A collaborative mindset sound judgment and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team-oriented environment.


Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment



In addition to French the successful candidate must also have sufficient knowledge of English as the work involves interacting and collaborating regularly with groups and individuals based in Toronto as well as constantly interacting with other people including clients who speak English locally and elsewhere.
