Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Design plan execute device data management plans for clinical research projects.
- Design development evaluation and modification of computer programs to analyze and evaluate clinical data.
- Implements data management plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines. Plan execute and coordinate programming activities for database manipulations transfer and analysis of data for internal and external clients.
- Manage large projects or processes and exercise considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments with limited oversight from manager.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure accuracy consistency and security of data assets.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Understand requirements translate business needs into technical solutions and document data schemas pipeline designs and best practices.
- Explore and integrate innovative data tools including LLMs and agentic systems into the existing data ecosystem to enhance analytics and automation.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems Statistics or Data science.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within medical device industry or related roles.
- Experience using clinical data management system (i.e. Oracle Clinical / Medidata and SQL) and data analysis (i.e. PYTHON R MATLAB and data visualization). Extensive experience with data mining and processing. Experience with version control systems especially Git including Git user interfaces (e.g. GitHub GitLab).
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving needs. Collaborative proactive and able to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex large-scale problems. Curious resilient and motivated to continuously improve and explore new solutions.
Desirable qualifications: Solid understanding of clinical device/drug development process. Understanding of data privacy and security standards (GDPR HIPAA). Exposure to BI tools (Looker Tableau Power BI) and dashboard development.
