About the Role:
Prysmian in partnership with a fast-growing dynamic start-up is seeking aSr. Process Engineer to join our team of innovators in Eindhoven. Be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking high-capacity optical fibers designed to power the future of AI and cloud computing.
In this role you will lead the development implementation and optimization of next generation optical fiber manufacturing processes on a large scale. You will collaborate closely with our R&D and production teams to ensure manufacturing yield targets and fiber performance are met.
You will start with a key role in the development of the processes in Eindhoven and after the development phase this role will be shifted more to the responsibility for the production.
Your main tasks:
As supervisor in the shift drive scale up production of new fibers ensuring they meet performance goals and production yields;
Implement manufacturing characterization tools and analyze process data to identify performance trends;
Implement new processes to improve the optical performance and production yields of advanced fibers;
Problem solving of manufacturing challenges through a complete understanding of optical chemical and physical process involved in fiber production;
Implementing new methods for volume production of next-generation fibers;
Evaluating and measuring glasses preforms and fibers using advanced tools;
Reporting and sharing the outcomes and progress of development and manufacturing methods to internal and external audiences including senior management customers and peers;
Operating and overseeing advanced optical fiber production equipment.
You are the right fit if you:
Have a PhD or Masters degree in optoelectronics photonics fiber optics materials science mechanical engineering physics or a related field;
Have expertise in optical fiber technologies including commercial and advanced fiber;
Have experiencein fiber fabrication and glass processing in process engineering and in cleanroom operations;
Are familiar with fiber characterization tools and techniques for performance evaluation;
Are innovative with a strong drive for excellence;
Have an inventive mind and are eager to solve problems;
Are detailed orientated meticulous able to work in a dynamic environment and have the ability to work efficiently across multiple tasks;
Are willing to go to the United States to be trained by professionals in Orlando for a certain period of time;
Have strong communication skills;
You are able to start working in 2 shifts for an initial phase and then move to dayshift scheme when the production is up and running.
What we offer you:
A Challenging position in an innovative international production environment. A Permanent Contract with 27 vacation days ADV days 13th month salary and additional benefits.
During the 2 shifts schedule you will also get an allowance on top of your annual gross base salary.
