Job Summary
As Sr. Cellular /RF Engineer II youll design and optimize secure wireless connectivity solutions with the goal of delivering resilient mission-critical communications across the federal government. Our team is responsible for engineering and operating high-reliability RF and cellular infrastructure in secure environments and youll play a key role in strengthening modernizing and scaling these capabilities to support evolving mission needs.

What youll do:
- Use cellular and RF technologies to assess design and engineer secure wireless connectivity solutions in mission-critical federal environments.
- Conduct RF site surveys measure and analyze signal strength and interference and design solutions to improve in-building coverage performance and reliability.
- Participate in Agile execution while clearly communicating technical findings recommendations and solution impacts to technical teams and government stakeholders building trust through consistent delivery and technical excellence.
What youll need to succeed:
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role when this billet is cyber-coded such as Security as a baseline with SSCP or CISSP for senior practitioners. If not cyber-coded certification may be designated as not applicable.
- 7 years of experience as an RF engineer with a primary focus on cellular and RF technologies.
- Demonstrated experience assessing engineering and optimizing wireless connectivity solutions including 4G and 5G cellular technologies.
- Hands-on experience conducting RF and cellular site surveys including signal strength measurements propagation analysis and coverage validation.
- Proven ability to design and implement in-building and campus wireless solutions to improve coverage capacity and reliability.
- Operational experience troubleshooting RF interference signal degradation and performance issues in complex environments.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
- Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
- Required technical certifications include a vendor or OEM certification aligned to deployed network or RF equipment or FCC GROL where applicable.
SALARY RANGE: $170000 - $230000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
