Job Summary
As Sr. Cellular /RF Engineer II youll design and optimize secure wireless connectivity solutions with the goal of delivering resilient mission-critical communications across the federal government. Our team is responsible for engineering and operating high-reliability RF and cellular infrastructure in secure environments and youll play a key role in strengthening modernizing and scaling these capabilities to support evolving mission needs.

What youll do:
- Use cellular and RF technologies to assess design and engineer secure wireless connectivity solutions in mission-critical federal environments.
- Conduct RF site surveys measure and analyze signal strength and interference and design solutions to improve in-building coverage performance and reliability.
- Participate in Agile execution while clearly communicating technical findings recommendations and solution impacts to technical teams and government stakeholders building trust through consistent delivery and technical excellence.
What youll need to succeed:
- An active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred (relevant experience may be substituted).
- 7 years of experience as an RF Engineer with deep expertise in cellular 4G/5G and RF technologies.
- Hands-on experience conducting RF site surveys and working with SS7 protocol LTE Band 12 Band 14 (FirstNet) and next-generation fixed wireless solutions.
- Possess DoD 8140 DCWF Role 451 System Administrator with one or more certifications such as Cloud GICSP GSEC Security or SSCP.
- Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical environment.
SALARY RANGE: $170000 - $230000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
