SDET QA Engineer Full-Stack QA Engineer

FocusKPI is looking for anSDET Android System Engineer or Android QA / Test Engineer to join one of our clients a high-tech SaaS company.

The team is looking for anSDETto design implement and scale automation and performance testing solutions for the clients Knox cloud services. The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack QA engineer with deep expertise in Frontend & Backend API automation API performance testing and E2E validation

This role requires close collaboration with product architecture and development teams to ensure quality is built into the system from design through release

Work Location:Mountain View CA
Duration:12-month contract; Hybrid role (4 days per week onsite)
Pay Range:$70/hr - 78/hr

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Backend APIs (REST/gRPC) and Web UIs (Frontend).
• Develop performance and load test scripts usingJavaScript/TypeScript (k6 or similar tools)
• Build and manage robust test pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions ensuring seamless integration of automated suites.
• Deep dive into system logs using ELK (Kibana) and Datadog to validate generated events and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate closely with PMs and the development team to understand design/architecture translating requirements into robust E2E test cases.
• Performdefect triage root cause analysis and validation including backend data verification using SQL
• Take ownership ofrelease-level qualityand ensure test coverage for monthly or milestone-based deliveries
• Leverage AI tools to write efficient modern code and stay ahead of automation trends to refine the DQI labs toolset.

• 5 years of professional experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer specifically focusing on Cloud APIs and Frontend automation.
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong programming fundamentals (Data Structures OOP).
• Ability to write performance test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript (e.g. K6 or similar tools).
• Strong knowledge of Grafana for visualizing metrics and identifying system bottlenecks.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium for modern web automation.
• Expertise in REST Assured and JUnit for comprehensive Cloud API testing.
• Proven experience using ELK (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) Datadog and Grafana for log analysis and performance monitoring.
• Strong working knowledge of Jenkins GitHub Actions and SQL for data validation.
