Your Role:

• Responsible directly and indirectly for the patient care environment; assists in diagnostic and interventional peripheral-vascular procedures (e.g. mediport implants dialysis catheter insertions temporary dialysis catheter insertions inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement IVC filter removal surgical cutdowns for access endovascular aortic aneurysm repairs (EVAR) thoracic aortic aneurysm repair (TEVAR) and trans-carotid artery revascularizations (TCAR)).
• Provides care collaboratively with health care team members and autonomously applying the nursing process; leads mentors role models for other health care team members.
• Coordinates and delegates care in a safe secure and clean environment.
• Uses evidence-based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.
• Displays respect for patients rights dignity values confidentiality and expressed needs in provided care.
• Demonstrates an understanding of diversity.
• Demonstrates integrity compassion accountability respect and excellence (I CARE values).
• Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues visitors and patients.
• Performs other duties.

Reports To:RN Registered Nurse/Director Surgical Services (JC: 031701).

Supervises:None.

Required Education: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Required Experience: One (1) year of emergency room (ER) intensive care unit (ICU) or step-down unit (SDU) registered nursing experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Two (2) or more years of ER ICU or SDU registered nursing experience.
• Critical care (e.g. ER and/or ICU) nursing experience.
• Interventional vascular experience.
• Adaptable.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.) Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations) Chapter 464 (Nursing) Part I (Nurse Practice Act) includes multistate compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

Preferred Certification/License/Registry:

• Emergency Nurses Association Trauma (ENA) Nursing Core Course (TNCC) completion.
• Critical Care Register Nurse (CCRN) credential from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification from the AHA.
