What you bring to SBHG(Qualifications):
Valid California Drivers License
Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
Masters degree in psychology Social Work or another related Mental Health field
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate as an associate- ACSW AMFT
Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
How you will make a difference:
The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed) develops and maintains treatment plans and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visit clients individually or as part of a team in a variety of living situations to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families observe progress provide counseling gather data and report significant changes in the clients condition to designated professional staff.
Division/Program Overview:
The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility.
Designed to help adult residents ages 18-59 who experience a psychiatric crisis to
safely stabilize recover and transition back to community.
Services include:
24/7 Program
Therapeutic and mental health services
Rehabilitation/recovery services including substance use rehabilitation services
Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
Medication evaluation and support services
Daily exercise and health/wellness education
Crisis intervention
