The Opportunity

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our north team. In this position you will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of high-tech laboratory equipment at our customers in laboratories and hospitals maximizing customer satisfaction and ensuring that Roche Diagnostics systems meet the manufacturers specifications. You will be responsible for site visits for troubleshooting training & follow-ups ensuring immediate and proper scientific support. Beyond the technical scope you will contribute to customer long-term loyalty by adopting a commercial mindset understanding their business needs and identifying opportunities to add value while documenting calls and activities on the Roche CRM System.

Who you are

To be considered for this role you should be able to confidently represent the company at client sites. We are looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong social soft skillsyou must be able to communicate effectively build rapport and handle productive customer relationships in a complex environment. You are resilient able to work under pressure and possess a customer-oriented attitude. You are a team player that can also work autonomously and ideally have experience working in an agile organization. You are able to carry out complex tasks with attention to detail assess a situation find alternative solutions and deliver them in accordance with the objectives and values of the organization.

Besides that its required that you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (preferably electronics mechanical or related)

  • Knowledge of IT network infrastructure firewalls and installation of Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Experience with laboratory devices (previous experience with Roche equipment is a significant asset)

  • Good level of written and spoken Portuguese and English

  • Driving license

  • Place of residence in the greater Porto area

  • Availability for national travel (site visits) and international travel (training)
