Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Counsel Business Operations (National Aerospace Systems). The position supports the Peraton Legal Department and works closely with Peratons senior management outside counsel and other members of the Legal Department to support and advise on ongoing business operations including matters related to federal aviation government contracting and regulatory compliance. This position involves significant responsibility with respect to corporate and federal procurement compliance and business operations support to Peratons Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary counsel to Peratons National Aerospace Systems (NAS) Sector advising on a broad range of complex legal contractual and regulatory compliance matters in support of Peratons execution of its Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) program.
- Provide advice counsel and negotiation support for contract and procurement activities including on customer proposals prime contracts and subcontracts associate contractor agreements and non-disclosure and teaming agreements
- Lead the development and enhancement of standard operating procedures for the BNATCS program and related activities to address information protection organizational conflicts of interest contract change management resolution of claims and disputes and other program execution issues.
- Work closely with other members of the Legal Department Contracts Procurement and Sector leadership and program teams in support of all NAS Sector business operations
Qualifications
Prerequisites:
- US Citizen
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Required Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as an attorney with substantial government corporate in-house and/or law firm experience in the federal contracting industry with a minimum of 5 of those years involving significant work on matters relating to federal aviation

- Strong communication and writing skills
- Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to employees and management at all levels
- Ability to think critically and develop creative and practical solutions

Target Salary Range
$176000 - $282000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
