What Youll Do as an Experienced Painter:

  • Paint residential commercial and industrial job sites working on interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Prep work areas by taping covering sanding patching sealing priming and painting.
  • Use brushes rollers and spray equipment to apply a variety of finishes.
  • Set up & work safely from ladders and scaffolding.
  • Clean maintain & properly store painting tools equipment and materials.
  • Work independently or as part of a crew following direction from the Lead Painter Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers supervisors and customers on job sites.
  • Fill out timecards and basic job paperwork accurately.
  • Meet daily production expectations.
  • Travel to job sites mostly within a 60-minute drive of Brownstown with no overnight travel.

Our Ideal Experienced Painter:

  • Experienced: 2 years of journeyman-level residential and/or commercial painting experience including interior and exterior work with a solid understanding of coatings surface prep tools equipment and standard safety practices and comfort working from heights.
  • Safety-conscious: Understands jobsite hazards follows safety procedures and handles materials and equipment responsibly.
  • Reliable & Efficient: Shows up on time works steadily manages time well and meets production expectations.
  • Detail-focused & Adaptable: Pays attention to prep and finish quality while adjusting to different job sites conditions and tasks.
  • Professional & Team-oriented: Communicates clearly works well with others and maintains a respectful professional presence on job sites.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 85 lbs. unassisted climb ladders work from heights stand for long periods and safely use hand tools power equipment and lifts (MEWPs).
  • Must have own brushes rolling poles putty knives nail set hammer

  • Full-time steady work with typical hours Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. plus voluntary overtime most weeks that may extend the day to 910 hours
