We are seeking a confident enthusiastic and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in New Barnet starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Lower Key Stage 2 and is passionate about delivering high-quality lessons that challenge inspire and engage pupils across the curriculum.

The Role
As a Year 4 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across all areas of the curriculum. You will foster independence resilience and positive learning behaviours in pupils while supporting their academic social and emotional development. A key part of your role will be to track pupil progress provide targeted support and ensure that every child is prepared for the transition into Year 5.
You will work closely with teaching assistants Key Stage 2 colleagues and senior leaders to maintain consistency and high standards across the year group. Effective communication with parents and carers is essential to ensure pupils receive the support they need both in school and at home.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
Track pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
Differentiate learning to support all pupils including SEND and EAL learners
Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured inclusive and positive classroom environment
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate regularly with parents and carers about pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and school initiatives
Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities as required
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote pupil wellbeing
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Lower Key Stage 2 ideally Year 4
Be confident delivering literacy numeracy and foundation subjects
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and professional team
