We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children as they develop foundational skills in literacy numeracy and social interaction within a stimulating and safe learning environment.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will work alongside the class teacher to support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum. You will provide additional support for children who require one-to-one or small-group interventions helping them access lessons and develop confidence independence and positive learning behaviours. Observing assessing and recording childrens progress is a key part of your role to ensure all pupils are supported effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Support classroom activities and play-based learning in EYFS
Assist with early literacy numeracy and phonics sessions
Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils who require additional help
Encourage independence confidence and positive learning behaviours
Observe record and report on pupils progress to the class teacher
Work collaboratively with teachers and other EYFS staff
Help maintain a safe structured and stimulating classroom environment
Build positive relationships with pupils parents and carers
Support pupils with additional needs including SEND and EAL learners
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and school initiatives
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote pupil welfare

Have previous experience in an EYFS or early years setting

Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
Be proactive reliable and adaptable
Show a strong understanding of inclusion safeguarding and child wellbeing
