Senior role with responsibility for buildings grounds and compliance
The role involves responsibility for the effective operation safety and long-term development of the schools estate including classrooms sports facilities and grounds. You will manage estates staff and contractors ensure statutory compliance and work closely with senior leaders to maintain a safe high-quality learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Overall management of school buildings grounds and facilities
Ensuring compliance with health & safety fire safety and statutory requirements
Planning and overseeing maintenance schedules and capital projects
Line management of estates caretaking and facilities staff
Managing contractor relationships and service agreements
Supporting school operations events and long-term estate planning
Experience and Qualifications
Proven experience in an Estates Manager Facilities Manager or similar role
Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance and building management
Experience managing teams budgets and contractors
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate effectively in a busy school environment
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
