We are seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lincoln starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 1 and committed to delivering high-quality lessons that engage challenge and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.

As a Year 1 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across all areas of the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will foster independence resilience and positive learning behaviours while supporting pupils individual needs including those with SEND and English as an additional language. Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues you will ensure consistency and high standards across the year group.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
Deliver effective literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons
Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to Key Stage 1
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL learners
Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured inclusive and positive classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and colleagues
Build positive relationships with parents and carers providing regular feedback
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 1 ideally Year 1
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
