The role involves responsibility for the effective operation safety and presentation of the school site. You will manage facilities staff and contractors ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and work closely with senior leaders to support the smooth running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
Overall management of school buildings grounds and facilities
Oversight of health & safety statutory compliance and risk assessments
Management of contractors servicing schedules and site projects
Line management of caretaking and facilities staff
Budget monitoring and procurement related to facilities and maintenance
Supporting school events and operational planning
Experience and Qualifications
Proven experience in a Facilities Manager Estates Manager or similar role
Strong knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance
Experience managing contractors and facilities teams
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
