Job Summary
Our client is seeking a reliable practical and proactive Caretaker to join a warm and close-knit primary school in Taunton. This is a vital on-site role ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe clean and welcoming environment for pupils staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day maintenance and care of the school buildings and grounds
Opening and closing the school site as required
Carrying out basic repairs DIY and general upkeep
Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed across the site
Monitoring the security of the premises and responding to issues promptly
Supporting school events and occasional lettings when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in a Caretaker Site Assistant or Facilities role
Practical maintenance and DIY skills
Good working knowledge of health & safety procedures
A reliable flexible and hands-on approach
The right to work in the UK
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
