Job Summary

We are seeking a caring reliable and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Dartford starting as soon as possible. The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant you will support teachers in delivering lessons providing targeted support for individual pupils and small groups. You will help create a structured engaging and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe confident and motivated to learn.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with learning activities monitoring pupil progress supporting social and emotional development and contributing to a positive classroom culture. Effective collaboration with teachers colleagues and parents is essential to ensure pupils receive consistent support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils learning in the classroom and in small groups

  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons

  • Monitor and record pupil progress providing feedback to teachers

  • Support pupils social emotional and behavioural development

  • Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours

  • Work collaboratively with teachers teaching assistants and other staff

  • Help maintain a safe structured and stimulating learning environment

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and when appropriate parents
