Wayman Education is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a premier secondary school in the heart of Kensington. We are looking for a specialist who is passionate about the Design Processfrom initial sketching to final prototyping. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with the opportunity to teach A-Level Product Design for a candidate with the right expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of disciplines including Resistant Materials (wood metal plastics) Systems and Control and Graphic Products.
Modern Fabrication: Utilize CAD/CAM technology including 3D printing and laser cutting to help students realize complex design solutions.
Innovation & Design: Encourage students to solve real-world problems through iterative design sustainability analysis and material testing.
Safety Management: Maintain an impeccable standard of health and safety within the workshop ensuring all machinery is used correctly and student safety is prioritized.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Product Design Design & Technology or Engineering.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. 2D Design SolidWorks or Fusion 360) and CAM machinery.
A track record of achieving strong academic results at GCSE and/or A-Level.
A commitment to workshop safety and a passion for hands-on project-based learning.
