We work alongside schools across Greater Manchester to provide dependable caring staff who help children feel safe supported and confident. We are currently looking for Midday Meal Supervisors to join our team in Stockport working in welcoming primary schools across the borough.
This role is perfect for people who enjoy being around children value routine and want a job that fits neatly around school hours. While the hours may be short the impact you make is significant.

For children lunchtime isnt just about eating. Its when friendships grow social skills develop and energy gets released. It can also be the most challenging part of the day for some pupils. Thats where you come in.
As a Midday Meal Supervisor youll help turn lunchtime into a positive experience. Your calm guidance encouragement and watchful eye will help ensure children feel secure and included whether theyre sitting down for a meal or running around the playground.
What Youll Be Doing
Your role will be varied active and people-focused. Responsibilities include:
Supervising pupils as they arrive for lunch and move through the school safely
Supporting children in dining areas including helping younger pupils where needed
Encouraging good manners kindness and respectful behaviour
Being aware of food allergies dietary needs and medical requirements
Ensuring pupils eat in a safe calm and orderly environment
Supervising playground and indoor play activities
Encouraging positive and inclusive play
Keeping a watchful eye on pupil behaviour and stepping in early to prevent issues
Helping children resolve minor disagreements in a fair and supportive way
Comforting and reassuring children who may feel upset or overwhelmed
Providing basic first aid when required (training provided)
Reporting any concerns related to behaviour safety or wellbeing
Working closely with teaching staff and senior lunchtime supervisors
You will be a visible approachable adult that children feel comfortable going to for help.

You dont need formal qualifications or previous school experience to apply. MDMS is looking for people with the right personal qualities and a genuine interest in working with children.
