Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate motivated and experienced KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northwood starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys teaching Upper Key Stage 2 and is committed to delivering engaging high-quality lessons that support pupils academic social and emotional development.

The school has a strong ethos of collaboration inclusion and high expectations. Staff work together to create a structured and stimulating learning environment where all pupils feel safe confident and motivated to learn. Senior leadership is supportive and committed to staff development providing guidance mentoring and CPD opportunities.


The Role

As a KS2 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum ensuring every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential. You will encourage independence resilience and a love of learning while tailoring teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils including those with SEND and EAL. Collaboration with colleagues teaching assistants and parents will ensure consistent high-quality support.

You will also monitor pupil progress provide interventions where necessary and maintain a positive inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across KS2

  • Deliver high-quality literacy numeracy and foundation subject teaching

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL

  • Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour

  • Maintain a structured inclusive and engaging classroom environment

  • Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders

  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

  • Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and school initiatives

  • Support enrichment activities school events and extra-curricular opportunities

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times


Who Were Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be reflective adaptable and proactive

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
