About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 supporting pupils to develop creativity technical skills and confidence in practical work.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging hands-on lessons
Supporting pupils in developing skills in design materials and manufacturing
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Supporting extracurricular activities such as clubs or design projects
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Design Technology
Be confident delivering practical lessons in a workshop setting
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about creative and technical education
Work effectively within a collaborative team
