Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements:
Licensed practical nurses are expected to deliver safe competent and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals skilled nursing facilities rehabilitation centers nursing homes and assisted living communities.
Basic Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited LPN program
Active LPN license from the state in which you plan to work
Minimum 6 months of LPN work experience
Push pull support and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
CPR certification
Annual physical (where required)
Negative TB test results
Clean background check
COVID-19 Vaccination (where required)
Job Responsibilities: As a licensed practical nurse youll be responsible for but not limited to:
Admitting discharging and transferring patients.
Taking and reporting patient vital signs.
Administering medications as ordered and reporting adverse reactions.
Dressing patient wounds and collecting blood and urine samples.
Communicating effectively with patients and family members.
Providing timely documentation thats accurate and organized.
Restocking supplies medications and equipment.
Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
