Job Summary
ND Global Consulting Services Inc. is seeking a Licensed HVAC Journeyman / Mechanical Service Technician to support an upcoming municipal HVAC mechanical services contract in Minneapolis MN. The selected professional will support inspection repair maintenance replacement installation and emergency service work for residential and related City-managed properties. This role is ideal for a field-ready HVAC professional with strong troubleshooting skills experience in service and repair environments and the ability to respond to both scheduled and urgent service requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC/mechanical inspection troubleshooting repair maintenance and replacement work
- Service systems including furnaces boilers radiators ductwork piping/distribution systems and related components
- Support installation renovation and alteration of residential HVAC/mechanical systems
- Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls when required
- Review job conditions and provide scope input for repair recommendations and work estimates
- Ensure all work is completed safely professionally and in compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Coordinate with project management regarding service requests schedules and field updates
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and remove debris after work completion
- Support permit inspection and compliance requirements as needed
- Represent NDGCS professionally when working at client or City locations
Minimum Qualifications
- Active experience as an HVAC Journeyman Mechanical Service Technician or equivalent field role
- Experience with residential and/or light commercial HVAC repair and maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and repair heating ventilation piping ductwork and related mechanical systems
- Ability to work on an as-needed responsive service basis
- Ability to support regular time and overtime / after-hours / weekend assignments when required
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background screening if required by the client or site
Preferred Qualifications
- Minneapolis competency card or Minnesota trade-related licensing/certification
- Experience working on public sector municipal housing facilities or service contracts
- OSHA / safety training
- Boiler warm air gas fitting refrigeration or steam/hot water systems experience
- Experience supporting urgent response environments with tight turnaround times
- Strongly Preferred for Bid Compliance

- Refrigeration
- Gas Fitter
Work Schedule
- Regular Time: MondayFriday standard daytime hours
- Overtime / On-Call: Evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- Emergency response availability is strongly preferred
