About the Opportunity
A large and rapidly growing Southern California hospital is seeking a Director of Perioperative Services to lead perioperative operations across OR PACU ASC GI and SPD. The organization is recognized for strong patient safety performance collaborative leadership and a culture focused on accountability transparency and clinical excellence.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced California perioperative director or a high-performing perioperative manager ready to step into a director-level role. Leadership is seeking someone who can quickly establish credibility standardize processes and foster collaboration across surgical services.
What Youll Be Doing
Provide operational and clinical leadership for OR PACU ASC GI Lab and SPD
Standardize perioperative policies procedures and workflows across departments
Build a culture of teamwork transparency and collaboration among nursing physicians and support teams
Partner with infection prevention and environmental services to ensure compliance with AORN ASHRAE CMS and National Patient Safety Goals
Oversee budgets staffing scheduling and resource utilization to support efficiency and return on investment
Collaborate with physicians to improve block utilization surgical throughput robotics utilization and preoperative readiness
Mentor managers and staff to promote accountability innovation and shared ownership
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Nursing required; Masters degree preferred
Active California Registered Nurse license required
BLS and Fire Card required
Minimum of five years of recent perioperative leadership experience in an acute care hospital
Strong working knowledge of AORN standards CMS compliance and regulatory readiness
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary surgical teams through change and process improvement
Excellent communication organizational and collaboration skills
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $171000 $220000 annually
