Assignment Overview
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Podiatrist (DPM) to provide clinic and inpatient coverage in Oklahoma. This assignment offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care inpatient consults and surgical cases supported by a full clinic nursing staff. The primary focus is clinic-based care with inpatient responsibilities as needed.
Schedule & Coverage Details

Monday Friday
-
Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
-
Up to 35 patients per day in clinic
-
No routine weekend call
-
Occasional weekend inpatient rounds as needed
-
Some weekday on-call responsibility may be required
Scope of Practice
-
Full scope of foot and ankle pathology
-
Outpatient clinic care
-
Inpatient consults and management
-
Inpatient and outpatient foot and ankle surgery
-
Non-surgical and surgical treatment modalities
Key Responsibilities
-
Evaluate diagnose and treat foot ankle and lower extremity conditions
-
Perform foot and ankle surgical procedures (inpatient and outpatient)
-
Conduct inpatient consults and manage hospitalized patients
-
Prescribe and fit orthotics and therapeutic devices
-
Treat conditions including arthritis fractures corns calluses wounds and infections
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
-
Maintain accurate timely medical documentation in accordance with facility standards
-
Adhere to all clinical regulatory and credentialing requirements
Support & Resources

Full clinic nursing staff support
-
Established clinic workflows
-
Inpatient hospital support available
Required Qualifications
-
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited institution
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPM or ABFAS)
-
Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency
-
Active Oklahoma podiatry license (required)
-
OBDNN compliance (required)
-
Active DEA license (any state accepted)
-
Oklahoma CDS license (required)
-
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
-
BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA not required)
Credentialing & Compliance Requirements

No malpractice history
-
No remedial or corrective action plans
-
No professional red flags
-
Clean background and credentialing record
