The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $$226513-$303926; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay hiring bonuses or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.
The OHSU Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics has built an integrated team practice model for delivering high quality medical care and service to the patients we serve including translational care of hospitalized patients. Primary Care has a mission and values-driven culture which includes patient care academia teaching research and leadership. Function/Duties of Position
This position will include continuity ambulatory practice and potentially interim or same day care for the practice. Clinical care duties will be the equivalent of 8 half days per week. Clinical work may include precepting residents approximately one-half day a week or inpatient internal medicine teaching service. Evening clinic hours will be expected at 1-2 days per week.
Duties of this position include:
- Serve as a Primary care clinician in the Faculty Practice at Marquam Hill (including continuity care as well as interim or same day care)
- Participate in clinical based teaching of OHSU students and Internal Medicine residents such as resident continuity clinic precepting
- Potential for inpatient general medicine clinical work
Faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics participate actively in teaching medical students residents fellows and each other. Opportunities for teaching abound and participation is encouraged and valued. The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education professional and faculty development and scholarship as directed by his or her department.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO
- New graduates considered
- Active Oregon license or ability to obtain
- Demonstrated commitment to educational excellence
- Demonstrated ability of collaboration to achieve clinical care goals
- Communication skills both written and verbal are required
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with an interest in and expeirence with chronic care models of healthcare coordination of comoplex patients in various settings and continuous practice improvement will receive priority consideration
- Candidates from diverse backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply
