Job Summary Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Provide physical therapy services as part of a team under the supervision of a physical therapist specifically in inpatient settings.
- Implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatments) as directed by the physical therapist.
- Obtain data related to interventions provided and modify treatments as necessary for patient progress safety and comfort.
- Assist in caring for patients of all ages (newborns to elderly) with medical problems or health conditions impacting mobility and daily function.
- Deliver patient care in inpatient outpatient and home health settings.
- Report directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
- Communicate effectively with staff physicians patients visitors and administration.
- Adapt to varied job situations involving multiple people and projects requiring independent judgment.
- Operate physical therapy equipment and perform technical procedures competently.
- Maintain professional communication and exercise supervision/management skills as needed.
- Must possess a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Must be credentialed with the Colorado State Physical Therapy Board.
- Hold current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience required (outpatient experience preferred).
- Bi-lingual skills are an asset.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in a modern rehabilitation gymnasium.
- Possible exposure to unpleasant sights smells and infectious diseases.
- Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy specifically Physical Therapy Assistant.
