Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator to join our contract IT team. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of hands-on experience managing Windows environments and a strong understanding of SQL databases. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining securing and optimizing our Windows-based infrastructure and supporting SQL systems that are critical to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer maintain and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).

Manage Active Directory Group Policy DNS DHCP and Windows system performance and troubleshoot hardware software and network support and maintain backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery configure and maintain SQL Server and optimize SQL queries and scripts for system automation and reporting.

Collaborate with development and application teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.

Collaborate with customers adjcent technical teams and all level of managment to address systems issues.

Maintain security best practices including system hardening and vulnerability management.

Produce documentation for system configurations procedures and change controls.

Qualifications:

5 7 years of experience in Windows system administration in mid to large-scale environments.

Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation maintenance scripting performance tuning).

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.

Highe level of familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V and Nutanix).

Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP firewalls VPNs).

Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes is a plus.

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
