Shift Timing: Afternoon shift 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (or as per client team requirement)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure API Management (APIM) Developer to design develop and manage secure and scalable APIs using Microsoft Azure API Management. The role focuses on API configuration policy implementation backend integration and ensuring high availability and security in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities API Development & Configuration

Design develop and configure APIs in Azure API Management
Implement APIM policies such as rate limiting caching transformation and throttling
Create and manage API products versions revisions and subscriptions

Integration & Backend Connectivity

Integrate APIs with backend services such as Azure Functions Logic Apps Service Bus and other microservices
Implement request and response transformations using APIM policies

Security & Compliance

Apply authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0 JWT Azure AD)
Ensure APIs comply with banking security and governance standards

Testing & Deployment

Perform unit and integration testing for APIs
Deploy and manage APIs using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)

Monitoring & Support

Configure monitoring logging and diagnostics for APIs
Troubleshoot and resolve API performance and availability issues

Mandatory Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM)
Experience designing and implementing secure API solutions

Desired / Good-to-Have Skills

PowerShell or ARM templates for APIM automation
Terraform
API lifecycle management and versioning strategies
Microservices architecture knowledge

Soft Skills

Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and client-facing environment
