Job Title: Medical Support Clerk
Location: Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRP) William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) 18511 Highlander Medics St Fort Bliss TX 79906 and outlying clinics.
Tentative Start Date: 1 April 2026
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 0500-1630 (SRP operational hours). Up to 48 mission-driven overage hours per FTE may be required annually beyond regularly scheduled duty hours as authorized by the Government.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Degree General Educational Development (GED) equivalency and medical terminology.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years as a medical clerk in a hospital clinic or doctors office within the last two years.
Experience handling medical records forms or documentation used to support patient processing or clinical workflows.
License / Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities:
Support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) operations by performing medical support and clerical functions during mobilization demobilization redeployment and separation activities.
Receive review and process medical forms records and documentation required for SRP stations.
Enter update and track medical or administrative data in Government-designated systems as directed.
Assemble and route medical documentation between SRP processing stations to support timely completion of readiness requirements.
Verify completeness of medical paperwork prior to submission for provider review or disposition.
Maintain organized files and records to support daily SRP operations and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with clinical staff and supervisors to resolve missing incomplete or inconsistent documentation.
Monitor administrative task flow to support required patient throughput during SRP operations.
Support surge administrative activities during peak MOB/DEMOB cycles including extended duty hours when mission required.
