Job Summary
Project Overview
This Program Manager role reports to the Portfolio Execution Lead and is responsible for managing a portfolio of initiatives aligned to strategic business objectives. The position requires strong judgment comfort with ambiguity and the ability to partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple large complex projects simultaneously with a strong customer and business focus
- Plan structure and execute projects aligned to strategic initiatives and portfolio goals
- Translate sponsor expectations into clearly defined scope timelines and delivery plans
- Provide end-to-end coordination across workstreams to ensure stakeholder needs and outcomes are met
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to bridge business outcomes with technical delivery
- Identify track and report project health risks issues and dependencies including timely escalation and resolution
- Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive effective solutions
- Lead teams through change while maintaining momentum in a dynamic ambiguous environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or a related field
- 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience working in IT Insurance or Financial Services environments
- Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives (e.g. innovation data regulatory compliance digital)
- Demonstrated success delivering multiple $1M projects concurrently
- Strong financial acumen including budget management forecasting and senior leadership presentations
- Working knowledge and practical application of Agile frameworks and roles
Technical & Soft Skills
- Strong project and program management expertise
- Consulting background preferred
- Financial Services experience preferred
- Ability to think strategically and see the big picture
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical collaborative solutions
- Comfortable working with senior leadership groups and presenting at an executive level
- Advanced skills in presentations reporting and data visualization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration influencing and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience coaching or mentoring project or program managers
