Job Summary

Job Title: HIL & Commissioning Engineer

Location: MICHIGAN

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

Develop configure and maintain HIL test benches for ECU validation
Perform HIL testing for automotive ECUs (Powertrain ADAS Body Chassis or Infotainment)
Create and execute test cases test scripts and test plans based on system and software requirements
Perform system commissioning integration and bring-up of ECUs on test benches and vehicles
Debug hardware software and communication issues during testing and commissioning
Execute automated and manual test cases and analyze test results
Support fault injection boundary testing and regression testing
Work closely with system software and calibration teams to resolve issues
Document test results defects and validation reports
Ensure compliance with automotive standards and quality processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Electronics Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering
Strong experience with HIL systems (dSPACE NI Vector ETAS or similar)
Hands-on experience in ECU commissioning and integration
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN LIN FlexRay Ethernet
Experience with test automation tools (Python CAPL MATLAB/Simulink TestStand ControlDesk CANoe)
Good understanding of ECU architecture sensors and actuators
Experience in debugging hardware and software issues
