Job Summary

Job Title: IT Program Manager (AI Automation PMO Standards $10M Projects)

Location: Austin TX (Onsite - Local candidates only)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Key Responsibilities Modernization & Automation Leadership
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI- and automation-driven initiatives to simplify and optimize complex operational processes within System Support Services (SSS) and Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS).
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency accuracy and service delivery through intelligent automation and process redesign.
Cross-Divisional Project Leadership
  • Plan execute and deliver large-scale programs spanning multiple divisions while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate efforts across IT operations strategy and business stakeholders to ensure unified execution.
Standardization & Process Improvement
  • Establish and promote consistent project management standards including project charters schedules risk logs stage-gate reviews and reporting templates.
  • Conduct process analyses and drive continuous improvement using quality and process-driven methodologies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management
  • Build trust consensus and alignment among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and decision-making across teams with competing priorities.
  • Develop and execute adoption strategies to ensure successful implementation of new tools and processes.
Behavioral Change & Adoption (Nudge Environment)
  • Apply behavioral strategies to encourage adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Promote accountability transparency and a culture of continuous improvement.
Planning Monitoring & Delivery
  • Develop clear actionable project plans with measurable milestones and performance indicators.
  • Track progress manage risks resolve conflicts and adjust delivery strategies as needed to meet timelines and quality standards.
Reporting Metrics & Accountability
  • Define and monitor key success metrics such as stakeholder satisfaction cycle-time reduction compliance and adoption rates.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports to the Senior Advisor and COO providing clear insights into status risks and outcomes.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure projects adhere to data governance security standards ethical AI practices and organizational policies.
  • Maintain strong program oversight and operational integrity.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Oversee and mentor interns and early-career professionals supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative high-performing project team environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing complex enterprise-scale IT or business transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large multi-stakeholder initiatives with significant budgets.
  • Strong command of PMO standards project governance and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience with AI automation tools and process improvement methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma).
  • Advanced skills in project planning conflict resolution prioritization and facilitation.
  • Proficiency with project management and productivity tools including Microsoft Project Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Ability to translate organizational strategy into clear actionable program and project plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts in business-focused language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders executives or C-suite sponsors.
  • Strong negotiation influence and consensus-building skills across IT business units and external partners.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous fast-paced or evolving environments.
  • Experience developing KPIs dashboards and data-driven reporting for executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with dashboard and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Background supporting enterprise governance executive decision-making or COO-level initiatives.
