Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Adabas Database Administrator for a long term part time contract supporting a stable enterprise environment. This role is fully remote and ideal for a senior DBA who values flexibility and a predictable workload.

Assignment Summary

Part time contract with flexible hours.
12 month engagement with strong potential for extension.
100% remote within the United States.
Support optimize and maintain Adabas environments.
Collaborate with technical leads on performance tuning and stability.
Assist with upgrades monitoring and incident resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

All experience must be on the z/OS platform and in coordination with datacenter support teams.

Proven experience as an Adabas DBA on z/OS.
Hands on experience troubleshooting maintaining and supporting Adabas Event Replicator.
Hands on experience troubleshooting maintaining and supporting EntireX.
Hands on experience troubleshooting maintaining and supporting CONNX.
Hands on experience troubleshooting maintaining and supporting Entire Network.
Experience with PREDICT and Adabas file maintenance and support.
Strong understanding of Natural/Adabas environments on z/OS.
Experience using TSO CICS and JCL.
Expertise in performance tuning backups recovery and operational stability.
Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote setting.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with modernization or migration initiatives.
Familiarity with mainframe adjacent tooling and batch operations.
Experience working with Windows platforms.
Experience supporting or administering Windows servers.
Experience with Natural on Windows.
Experience with SQL databases on Windows platforms.
Experience with RACF.
Experience with Natural Security.
Experience installing and supporting NaturalONE.
Experience using SQL queries.
Strong documentation skills
