Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes with the ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision attention to detail and a solid understanding of mechanical principles to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications. 2nd shift opening

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.
Interpret and read blueprints technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining operations.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in manufacturing processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles while maintaining a clean work environment.
Assist in assembly processes as needed and support the production team with various tasks.

Skills

Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes.
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes including electrical discharge machining and plastics injection molding.
Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software and CAM programming tools.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines.
Knowledge of tooling techniques and hand tools relevant to machining tasks.
Familiarity with welding processes is a plus.
