Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse House Supervisor is responsible for providing skilled nursing care and supervision across various units including Medical/Surgical ICU and ED. The role involves floating between units to cover meals and breaks ensuring adequate patient care and staff support. The position requires strong clinical skills experience in critical care or emergency department settings and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Location:Seaside Oregon United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care in Medical/Surgical ICU and ED units.
- Supervise and support nursing staff across different units.
- Cover meals and breaks in Medsurg ICU and ED as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in ED or critical care.
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Drivers license car insurance and automobile for field work.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Previous House Supervisor experience.
- Charge Nurse experience.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to cover meals and breaks in Medsurg ICU and ED.
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment.
- May be required to float to other units and facilities.
- Weekends are required every other weekend.
