Job Summary:
The CVOR Tech assists surgeons and other medical personnel in the operating room by setting up surgical equipment ensuring a sterile environment and providing instruments and supplies during cardiovascular and other surgical procedures. The role requires expertise in Ortho Neuro Surgery Robotics and Trauma cases.
Location:Anchorage Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Set up surgical equipment and instruments for CVOR procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons by providing instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond accordingly.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Assist with Ortho Neuro Surgery Robotics and Trauma cases.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred
- Experience in Per UD Ortho Neuro Surgery Robotics and Trauma cases
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- NBSTSA certification
Special Considerations:
- Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer with a restriction of only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment.
- The facility is a Magnet Facility Level II Trauma center and a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska.
Scheduling:
- 4x10 Days shift
- Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks but the traveler can be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks.
