Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Tech assists physicians and other healthcare professionals in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This role involves direct patient care operation of specialized equipment and maintenance of a sterile environment. The Cath Lab Tech is expected to participate in on-call duties and may be required to float to other related departments.

Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment in the Cath Lab.
- Monitor patients vital signs and provide necessary support during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures including prepping and positioning.
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately.
- Participate in on-call duties responding to emergency cases as needed.
- Float to IR (Interventional Radiology) and EP (Electrophysiology) as required.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) certification
- Experience in Cath Lab procedures
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Special Considerations:
- On-call duties required 3 nights per week for 2 hours per night (no weekends).
- May float to IR and EP to meet facility needs.
- Time off requests are approved on an individual basis with a limit of one request per 13-week assignment.
Scheduling:
- 4x10 hour day shifts.
- No weekend work required unless clinician wants to pick up Cath Lab call shift.
- Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks but traveler can be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks.
