JOB TITLE: Materials & Processes Engineer

PAY RATE: $75/hour

Summary:

• Develop and improve materials and process specifications to ensure consistent composite component performance.

• Provide technical assessments to Quality and Manufacturing for process deviations and non-conformances.

• Advise Design on appropriate composite material selection based on performance manufacturability and vehicle integration.

• Review drawings and models to verify correct materials and manufacturing notes.

• Draft and revise materials and process specifications.

• Troubleshoot manufacturing and supplier issues related to composite processes and specifications.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and cross-functional teams on projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or Physical Science (ABET-accredited or equivalent).

• 5 years experience with aerospace materials composites and plastics.

• Experience with composite manufacturing processes including out-of-autoclave methods.

• Knowledge of materials/process specifications and composite testing methods.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis of test data.

• Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint; strong team player.

• Willing to work all shifts overtime and weekends as needed.

• Up to 25% travel to suppliers for technical support.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
