Overview:
The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to international trade laws and regulations. This role involves managing import/export compliance conducting audits and providing strategic guidance on trade-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with international trade laws regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance risks and recommend solutions.
- Liaise with government agencies and external auditors as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on trade compliance matters.
- Manage classification valuation and licensing of imports and exports.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and adjust company policies accordingly.
- Support the development of strategic initiatives to optimize trade compliance operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in International Business Law or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of international trade laws and regulations (e.g. EAR ITAR customs regulations).
- Experience with trade compliance software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Certification in trade compliance (e.g. CUSECO CCEP) is preferred.
