Job Summary
The Construction Superintendent will oversee high-end construction projects from inception to completion ensuring top-tier quality safety and on-time delivery. Based in the Chicagoland area (Northbrook IL) or on the West Coast the ideal candidate is willing to travel nationwide for projects. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers subcontractors and stakeholders to manage luxury retail tenant improvements and restaurant buildouts. Candidates with verifiable experience in these areas will receive priority consideration. We prioritize long-term tenure-no job hoppers.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of construction projects ensuring adherence to quality standards safety protocols schedules and budgets.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors vendors consultants and on-site teams to optimize staffing productivity and sequencing.
Manage daily jobsite operations including scheduling progress tracking material deliveries RFIs submittals and inspections.
Enforce compliance with project plans specifications local building codes permits and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA standards).
Conduct thorough quality control inspections resolve field issues conflicts and deficiencies proactively.
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings maintain detailed daily reports safety logs and jobsite records.
Communicate project status updates confidently to clients stakeholders and internal teams.
Keep jobsites clean organized and always inspection-ready.
Utilize construction management software to track costs timelines and performance.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Construction Superintendent.
Proven expertise in high-end retail tenant improvements (e.g. luxury retail) and restaurant buildouts-required.
Thorough knowledge of all construction trades sequencing subcontractor coordination and cost control.
Proficiency with construction software (e.g. Procore PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word Project Outlook).
